About the Conference
The proposed Next-Generation GST Reforms (GST 2.0)aim to simplify India’s GST system by rationalising the four-tier structure into two slabs—5% and 18%—to reduce disputes, address inverted duty issues, and improve ease of doing business. The reform will benefit MSMEs and start-ups through better liquidity, efficient ITC, and faster refunds, aligning with Atmanirbhar Bharat and Viksit Bharat 2047. The ICSSR-sponsored conference will bring policymakers, industry, and academics together to discuss GST 2.0 reforms.
